According to some Haunted Housing Report, 35 percent of Homeowners claim they have had paranormal experiences in their classic homes, or in a house they have previously possessed. While a person’s perception of what’s haunted is subjective, that percentage may be just high enough to allow you to think twice about that sound you heard in the basement yesterday.
Certain factors increase the likelihood of homeowners experiencing paranormal activity in their brand new antique houses. These may include whether a home is situated on or near cemetery property; when there were many transitions between owners; and if the home is built near a battleground or other place where multiple deaths occurred, thus generating negative energy.
Mansfield Reformatory: The Mansfield Reformatory is just another haunted house in Ohio that is believed to be among the scariest places on Earth. This arrangement was created in order to offer a place that boys who were sent to be reformed could be totally turned around – in a religious way. Unfortunately, things did not work out and the original creators may have believed they would. Stories of torture, grief, sadness, and death have been circulated for ages. As a consequence of these gruesome tales, it is thought that several haunting have happened at the Mansfield Reformatory.
One of the main stories of a haunting in this prison happens in the wing where administration serves. At one point in history, a Warden’s wife lived in this area with her husband. She was attempting to recover something from the near when a gun dropped and a bullet entered her torso. She died, and many claimed that the Warden actually killed her, regardless of the fact that evidence pointed another direction.
Approximately ten years later, the Warden had a heart attack and he passed away. It is thought that the couple still resides in the institution as ghosts. Scents of roses in the atmosphere, in addition to cold, ghostly breezes and apparitions have been seen in this wing.
Many individuals who have seen this haunted prison have experienced balances of hearing odd sounds, seeing apparitions, smelling odd scents, and hearing conversations and even shouts while there. The lingering sadness and evil appear to linger in each area in the Mansfield Reformatory – both indoors and outside!
